The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) acts like a sliding hinge, connecting your jawbone to your skull. You have one joint on each side of your jaw. TMJ disorders is a type of temporomandibular disorder or TMD causes pain in your jaw joint and in the muscles that control jaw movement.

Gum Biopsy

Gum Biopsy is a method where surgeons remove lesions in mouth and relieve the pain of canker sores. The procedure is performed  to investigate if abnormal lesions or growth on the gums are cancerous and to remove abnormal gum tissue, which is sent to a pathologist for examination later.

Orthognathic Surgery

The surgeries require mandible or the maxilla to be shaped for cosmetic purposes. It is always a team approach where an orthodontist and oral maxillofacial surgeon decides the treatment plan. Accordingly, this may include mandibular advancement maxillary advancement genioplasty etc.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

An average person has four third molars. Two on the lower and two on the upper arches. Sometimes, it needs a surgery to remove it but sometimes there is no need of surgery. It mainly depends on the position of the tooth in the bone, if it is not erupted fully, then one may need to do surgery and trim the bone and then remove the tooth.
